While studying and preaching through Exodus (Shemot), I have been enjoying a broad range of commentaries. Besides the ones I’ve mentioned here before, I also would like to point out one of the most important Jewish commentaries: Rashi. Rashi (d. 1105) was a very influential medieval Jewish scholar/commentator, whose comments were written by his students. Those marginal comments now make up a sort of Jewish commentary on the Torah, Nevi’im, and K’tuvim (the OT), and are still considered essential for Jewish OT studies.

To use The Gutnick Edition of the Chumash: Book of Exodus, compiled by Chaim Miller, go here.
Of course these need to be read with Christian/NT spectacles, and sorting through the conjectural midrash can be quite the chore, yet they are helpful in certain areas. One added benefit is that they keep you in your Hebrew! Hitpa’er!
