Update: A Reader’s Hebrew Bible

Great news – Amazon is now selling Zondervan’s new A Reader’s Hebrew Bible! I just ordered my copy and it looks like it’ll ship by next week.

Lee Irons has been doing a really helpful “read through the Greek New Testament” type of thing over on his blog; perhaps I’ll find a way to follow his lead and do the same with the Hebrew Bible! (I’ll perhaps start with early Biblical Hebrew prose so you don’t have to get buried in any verse or late Biblical Hebrew!)

Pick up this volume when you have the chance. Remember (from my earlier post), there is a preview available here. Not only does it define less frequently occurring words in the footnotes (also providing some parsing hints), it has a concise lexicon in the back. In short, every word in the Hebrew Bible is defined somewhere between these two covers!

Enjoy!
